The Centre for Non-Profit Leadership (CNPL) is completing its formal integration into the National Volunteer & Philanthropy Centre (NVPC) with effect from the 1st of November 2015. The move had been decided upon earlier this year, to better serve the non-profit sector with the combined capabilities of the two organisations.
The agreement on the integration was reached by both boards in the interests of achieving mutual synergy. The shared vision of the two organisations is to better attract, equip and support volunteers and leaders to improve and transform the giving space in Singapore. The decision was announced to relevant stakeholders by NVPC CEO, Ms. Melissa Kwee, and CNPL MD, Ms. Winifred Loh, on the 30th of September.
Even whilst operating as separate entities, both organisations have collaborated closely on various work streams. The merging of the two entities has been carried out in a phased manner over the months of September and October 2015, to ensure a seamless transition on the operational front.
Following the integration, CNPL will continue to maintain its identity as a distinct brand, and there will be no external changes affecting either its beneficiaries or its volunteers.
